Times have changed for kids’ health and it’s increasingly clear that how we care for children needs to change, too. As the leading pediatric centre in Canada’s capital, serving over half a million patients a year from as far north as Nunavut, CHEO has seen these changes first-hand and knows what needs to be done to help address them.
Since the moment the hospital opened its doors in 1974, CHEO has led the charge in improving the lives of children and youth. Today, we embark on our most transformational journey yet to build and adapt so we can deploy more innovation, programs and services that meet the growing needs of kids today and tomorrow. Whether we are building better spaces or leveraging the power of data and artificial intelligence to solve persistent health care issues, we do so with a single goal in mind: helping children and youth live their best lives.
